Course Objective

The course aims at covering the basic rules of recitation and empowers the student to read the Holy Quran in the right manner. The course is conducted in the English language and will be divided into two terms as explained below.

Course Pattern

Term 1 :

A skilled and experienced instructor will teach the Qaa'idah Nooraniya  on a weekly basis in a live interactive online class. Each group will have a maximum of 12 to 15 students, so that each student is given individual attention too. This term will enable students to learn the correct pronunciation of the Arabic alphabets and also empower them to read the holy Quran correctly.


Term 2 : 

In term 2 the students will progress to learning the different rules of recitation. An experienced teacher will explain the rules at length in a  recorded session which the students have to make sure to hear before their group sessions.  Students will then have a group session with experienced tajweed teachers where all the applications of the rules will be practiced and each student will be heard individually. 

If a student misses the recorded session, then the recordings will be made available for her at all times.

Topics to be included in term 2 are ;

1) Importance of Tajweed

2) Rules of Isti'adha and Basmala

3) Rules of Noon Saakina and Tanween

4) Rules of Meem Saakina

5) Qalqala

6) Tafkheem and Tarqeeq

7) Rules of Madd (stretching) in the Quran

8) Exit points and attributes of letters

9) Rules of pausing, starting and stopping

Regular assessments will be done by oral and written evaluations. During the course of this time, the students will have covered the entire curriculum and will be able to recite the Quran with correct pronunciations and with application of the rules of recitation In sha Allah.

Course Details

  • Course Duration : 45 classes (including exam days)

  • Course Commencing on : 31st October 2023

  • Course Completing on : 19th November 2024

  • Day of Class : Tuesday Or Saturday

  • Class Timings (Group A) : 10:30 am - 11:45 am GMT / 2:30 pm - 3:45 pm UAE / 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm IST (1 hour and 15 min session)

  • Class Timings (Group B) : 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm GMT / 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm UAE / 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm IST (1 hour and 15 min session)

  • Registration Commences : 15th October 2023 (Limited Seats available)

  • Holidays : Ramadan, Eid holidays, August and one week in December

  • Fees : $100 one time payment / $50 Biannual

  • Age limit : 12 years and above

Please Note :

The time for each class is 1 hr 15 minutes. This will include the live class plus the group interactive time.

The students may choose a day (Either Saturday or Tuesday) and a time (Either Group A timing or Group B timing) as per their convenience.

Criteria for Certification

  • Certification is dependant on examination and attendance criteria.
  • A minimum of 80% attendance for the entire course is required to be eligible for certification.
  • Term 1 will have an oral exam, and Term 2 will have a written exam. Students are expected to pass each with a minimum grade of 80% to be eligible for certification.
